Perrin Rasteau L'andéol Syrah Blend 2006, A.C. Côtes du Rhône Villages, Rhône, France: Vintages Wine Panel: This wine comes from a tiny, low-yielding vineyard in Rasteau known as L’Andéol. My note: Hedonistic aromas of ripe black cherries, pepper, spices and cedar box on the box, followed by black raspberries and cranberry on the palate. Full-bodied with silky, supple layers and texture. This wine is 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache grapes. About 10% of the wine was aged in French oak. A long, lovely finish. 976845 14% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. January 31, 2009 Full Review
