Kaiken Kilikanoon Prodigal Grenache 2006, Clare Valley, Australia: Vintages Wine Panel: This ruby-colored Grenache displays wild raspberry and blackberry, with notes of scorched earth and licorice spice. A consistently high quality wine. My note: A bold fruit-forward wine laced with notes of black plum, kirsch, cranberry and anise. This voluptuous, full-bodied red was made from vines that were dry grown (not irrigated) and the resulting flavor concentration shows.
