Bernhard Mehrlein Feinherb Riesling Kabinett 2007, QmP, Johannisberger Erntebringer, Rheingau, Estate Btld., Germany: Vintages Wine Panel: Don’t be intimidated by the name. This off-dry Riesling is very approachable, with enticing flavors of sweet citrus and peach cobbler, and an underlying seam of minerality which, along with acidity, nicely balances the sweetness. Even if you can’t remember the full moniker, you’re sure to remember the taste! My note: Lovely notes of candied lemons, honeysuckle, ripe green apples and stone fruit. Incredible flavor for a light-bodied wine. Perfect as an aperitif or with a variety of dishes. 89581 10.50% MD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 89/100. January 17, 2009  Full Review
