Parri Estate Shiraz Viognier 2006, Southern Fleurie, South Australia, Estate Grown, Australia: Vintages Wine Panel: Australia’s Southern Fleurie Peninsula is a region known for gorgeous coastal scenery, whale
watching and, of course, exceptional wines. This bold example abounds with ripe black and red
cherry fruit accented by spicy black pepper, finishing with a round mouthfeel thanks to the
measured use of Viognier. The silky tannins add a fine layer of structure to the wine. My note: This wine rolls over the palate in delicious, slippery, full-bodied goodness. Notes of copious blackberry, pepper, cassis and cedar make this a multi-dimensional wine to savor. 48488 13% D 750 mL $18.95 Score: 89/100. January 17, 2009 Full Review
