Natalie's Review

Rutini Wines Malbec 2006, Mendoza, Argentina: Vintages Wine Panel: A Malbec that is more about balance than power. There is plenty of black fruit, leather and a hint of fennel here, but it is all perfectly moderated by a crisp, refreshing streak of acidity and ripe tannins. Enjoy this New World-meets-European wine style of Malbec. My note: A deeply colored, big volume red with copious layers of black raspberry, bacon fat, vanillin, spicy oak and blackberries. I've recommended this wine for several years now. It’s a party pleaser that will suit many palates. 711705 13% D 750 mL  $13.95 Score: 88/100. January 17, 2009 Best Value Red Wine.  Full Review
