Sean O'Regan Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dec 11, 2013: Vintages bin end. Deep ruby with an inviting nose of berry, cherry, spice, dusty, sage, tobacco, earthy. Great freshness and smooth on the palate, great fruit concentration of berry, cherry, toasty oak spice, and mineral. Medium full body, excellent balance all around, fine resolved tannin and well integrated oak. A beautiful wine that is drinking very well now, and expect it to hold on for several more years. If you're a fan of or looking for an introduction to a fantastic Zweigelt this is a steal at $31.35
