Sandhill Cabernet Franc 2006, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada: The 2006 season began with light but steady rain, creating vigorous growing conditions that produced more bunches than desirable. To stay the yield targets, the growers cut almost 40% of the fruit produced on all red varieties. Aged 15 months in American and French oak. Deep garnet color with aromas of black cherry, black currant, violet, cedar, cigar box and mocha. This dry, medium-bodied wine is rich in the mouth, with texture. Very balanced. 556035 XD 750 mL $19.99 Score: 89/100. July 15, 2008 Full Review
