Pitted cherry note, prunes and jammy black fruit. Woody .Pleasant in a modern style but clinging to its tradition. Delicious. Chunky fruit. Medium plus acidity. Very long.

A delightful full bodied Spanish red wine - lots of dark fruit, licorice, earth and smoke - mostly Tempranillo (90%), could develop a little longer in the bottle. Great value.

Valdemar Inspiración Selección 2012, Rioja D.O.C.A., Spain: This robust Spanish red wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano grapes for the 2012 vintage. It's fresh and intense with a modern style of winemaking. A lively Spanish red wine that's bone-dry and earthy on the palate. Dark fruit and some smoke. Full-bodied and relatively smooth though decant for 1-2 hours and pair with lamb in rosemary. Drink: 2017-2020. 166512 14% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 89/100. September 30, 2017 Best Value Red Wine.
