Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From the family-owned Bodegas Balbas, located in the Ribera Del Duero in Spain, comes the Ardal Crianza 2013. Harmoniously blended from 80% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine displays deep aromas of fig, plum, dried rose, parmesan cheese, cigar box, wood burner and oak. Full-bodied with well integrated tannins, the wine’s journey shows lovely layers of aged flavors and a polished, dry finish. Palate: dried blueberry, raisin, black pepper, tobacco, cinnamon and cedar. Enjoy!
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Excellent value from the Ribera del Duero, it's full of chocolate cherry, and cappuccino, with sweet perfumed oak. Tannins are present and a pasta with rocket and gorgonzola would certainly suit this wine @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

A Spanish wine blended with 80% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby, this wine has cherry and licorice aromas. Medium-bodied with strong tannins and acidity providing its mineral, dry finish, this wine will go well with beef.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Dec. 28th, 2017. Dark ruby red with thick legs. Aromas and flavours of dark cherry, smoke, cocoa. Taste dry, medium plus mouthfeel, and medium plus mouthwatering, chalky tannins, subdued fruit. Finishing mouthwatering, dried fruit chalky tannin. Medium.
I like this wine because of its rustic taste and I find it mouthwatering. Possibly a good match to BBQ beef. Good value, full bodied, for me it is a nice winter wine. Give it some time to breathe.

Natalie's Review

Ardal Crianza 2013, Ribera Del Duero D.O., Spain: This robust Spanish red wine is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 14 months in American oak barrels. Smokey campfire and hickory smoke on the nose and palate, somewhat tannic Spanish red wine. Pair with grilled lamb. Mesquite, cloves, allspice, and blackberries on the nose. The flavours are rich and delicious: blueberries, vanilla, leather and a hint of dried savoury herbs. Dry, still some grippy tannins. Drink: 2020-2024. 167601 14% XD 750 mL  $22.95 Score: 89/100.
