From Argentina's Mendoza Valley. Fragrant damson plum & mocha nose. Flavourful plum & mocha palate in velvety, balanced mouthfeel with mouth-watering acidity and lingering finish. Pair with grilled beef or lamb kebabs.

Natalie's Review

Finca Sophenia Reserve Malbec 2014, Gualtallary, Tupungato, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina: Mocha and dark chocolate aromas from generous oak aging. The famous winemaker consultant Michel Rolland works with this winery, and his signature is here in the robust, luscious fruit profile of this wine. The vineyards for this wine are located in the foothills of the Andes at an altitude of 1200 metres above sea level, which is on the front label, and the wine is matured in French oak for 8 months. The results is a intensely concentrated wine offering aromas of black plums, cherries and blackberries along with some smoke and fresh vibrant blackberries and toasty oak on the finish. What a delightful wine for meat lovers! Drink: 2017-2020. 66837 14.50% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. June 24, 2017 Best Value Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
