Jon Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Biting into a dark chocolate coated Acai berry is the most realistic sensation I can relate to the tasting of this magnificent Réserva Malbec. Vinified with ancient Mendoza Malbec fruit from vines planted in 1920. Deeply concentrated and rich with an Uber full body and high alcohol. Although declared at 14.1%. Reminiscent of appassimento style. Ripe juicy Pomegranate, black plum, savoury spices and mocha dark chocolate on the palate. I enjoyed this beauty with dark chocolate and could easily pair with sashimi, tuna tartare stack and is easily sippable on its own. Tasted March 2017. 93 points #BespokeTastings
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Pure heaven on the palate! Pronounced aromas of black plum, anise, cardamom, leather, and cedar lead way to ripe fleshy blackberry, black plum, black licorice notes, and a lingering tobacco leaf and spice finish. It's rich, robust and warrants a meditation moment at every sip. Enjoy this full bodied complex Malbec with beef tartar, salumi platters or braised/roast meats. Natalie's Review

Versado Reserva Malbec 2012, Mendoza, Argentina: Owner and winemaking consultant Peter Gamble and chief winemaker Roberto de la Mota have created a blockbuster Argentine red for the 2012 vintage. Made from the iconic Malbec grape, this wine underwent a spontaneous fermentation, rather than one induced by the winemaker with specific yeasts. The wine was aged in oak barrels. This is another gorgeous red wine from Versado - this wine and winemaker perform consistently well every year. Aromas of fleshy black fruit, dried herbs, spices and pepper. Pair with grilled lamb. Highly recommended. Drink: 2017-2021. 316984 14% XD 750 mL  $59.95 Score: 93/100. November 26, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Delightful Duck Wine  Full Review
