Heather Wall reviewed this wine as follows:

M. Chapoutier is the first maison to add braille to their labels. This fact alone might endear you to this wine but I challenge you to merit this Grenache blend on the experience in the bottle. A medium ruby colour with aromas and flavours of prune, raisin, licorice, strawberry, some molasses, smoke and tar. Layer upon layer of mystery tied up in velvet softness that tastes like it's punching above it's weight class. Excellent value! Buy 2. Pair with grilled red meats; braised lamb shank.

Natalie's Review

Domaine De Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem 2014, CĂ´tes Du Roussillon-Villages, Midi A.C, France: This Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem sources grapes grown on vines planted in schist soils close to the village of Latour de France. It's a red wine blend of mostly Syrah and Grenache along with some Carignan grapes. The wine was matured in concrete tanks. Produced by M. Chapoutier, this is benchmark Rhone Valley red wine from a spectacular vintage. Black fruit, smoke, tar and black pepper. Full-bodied, balanced, concentrated with great depth. An incredible wine for this price point. Pair with filet mignon. Drink: 2017-2022. 643239 14% XD 750 mL  $25.95 Score: 95/100. April 24, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
