Jean-Max Roger Château Planères Cuvée Prestige 2005, AC Côtes du Roussillon, Midi, France: Vintages Wine Panel: The fruit for this blend of syrah, mourvèdre and grenache was meticulously hand-picked. The wines were allowed to mature separately for approximately 10-12 months in new French barriques and then blended to show off the strengths of each variety. The resulting wine is filled with aromas of raspberry, cedar, vanilla and plum. My note: Great value. A terrific BBQ wine for summer.  70748  14%  XD  750 mL  $14.95  Score: 89/100.
