Intense and full bodied, infused with the aromas of leather, dark chocolate, roses, spice, vanilla and dark fruit. It has a smooth, deep, long blackberry finish. It's a winner!
Serve with steak, ribs and blue cheese.

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Rich, full-bodied, ripe, jammy and gorgeous. Loads of blackberry, black currant, dark chocolate infused with dried herb, sweet, smokey spice and shy tannins. Love it.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Made from low-yield vines (2-3 bottle per vine) grown in some of the warmest vineyards in the Short Hills Bench Appellation. Jammy aromas so intense, they're like incence, leading to a rich palate with cherry/blackcurrant flavours and touches of mocha. Mouth-watering acidity and lingering finish make this an uncomplicated but very satisfying wine. A winner with rack of lamb, steak or venison.

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bold and smokey, aromas of cedar, blackberry and cherry, and cassis. Slightly herbaceous, but nicely balanced with red fruit and berry. Smooth tannins and a long finish. Pair this with grilled meats.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Yum. Many of the characteristics of Cab Sauv, plus a little more. The aromas are blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, dried herbs, and mint. The taste is smooth, rich, and deep, with flavours of black cherry and cassis predominant. A little very rounded tannins, and a long tart cherry finish. Exceptionally tasty, and made in Ontario.
Luc Delorme rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Black cherry, pepper and smoke greet the taster. The rather low tannin content makes for a slightly lighter Baco, with some well-balanced acidity. Ripe dark cherries dominate the palate of this very versatile wine. Crisp yet full, this had a medium finish of dark cherry and pepper.

Drink by itself or pair with hard cheeses or meat dishes; there's not much that this wine won't work well with.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

One of the finest single varietal expressions of Baco Noir you can find, anywhere. Henry of Pelham continues to impress Baco lovers with this incredibly rich, round and luscious reserve wine. Dark fruits, plum, black currant, and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is rich and round, without a sharp corner in sight. Super smooth and approachable, this Baco Noir Reserve delivers on quality and complexity every vintage! Tasted November 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Cherie Cole rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This spectacular wine from the Speck Family Reserve is definitely worth keeping on hand! Perfect from all aspects, this wine boasts lots of dark fruit, spice, vanilla and smokey charcuterie on the nose and palate. Medium body and tannin. Well balanced and delicious. Pair with grilled beef, pork tenderloin or hard cheeses. Tasted July 24, 2016.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Big wine with nose of tobacco, leather, dark chocolate and herbs. Lots of dark, jammy fruits in the mouth with lovely warm, lengthy finish. Very enjoyable! Would stand up well to BBQ'd ribs with thick spicy sauce.
Carola Price rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Inky red and bright.
Chocolate, cloves, fallen leaves, mushrooms, lead, meaty on the nose. In the mouth it is chocolate covered cherries and some gamey notes. Medium bodied but a little too much residual sugar for me. Pair with lamb and roast prime rib or gooey cheeses.

Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Baco richness wears an intense cover of deep garnet, with pink hints on the rim. Redolent of ripe black cherry and dark plum, a wisp of smoke. This is a big, well-made wine full of ripe cherry, vanilla, toasted oak and plum. The tannins are fairly soft.

This wine would pair well with BBQ ribs.
Colin McKone rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep dark ruby in colour with aromas of black cherries, plum, cedar and smoke. It is full bodied with medium tannins and acidity with ripe red fruit and black pepper on the finish. A great wine to bring to the Summer BBQ.
Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ruby red colour in the glass with red cherry on the nose. This Baco fills your mouth with smoky, earthy flavours. A delicious full bodied red that does the winemaker proud.

Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Like smelling a bowl of ripe black cherries. Soft round fruit and tannins. Some gentle smokiness. A wine for the everything but Baco disbeliever.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Inky ruby in colour. Moderately intense aromas of stemmy black berry, cedar and earthy, tobacco notes. Vibrant acidity lifts the full bodied, densely structured mouthfeel. The finish features torrified oak notes. This is a well crafted, if not highly complex, red.
