Wine is deep purple in colour, dry, medium bodied, medium plus acidity and medium tannin that is a bit grippy. Nose is pronounced and features black currant, leather and mushrooms. Tastes are black currant/cassis with some leather. Tasted very good with beef cooked with plenty of mushrooms. I let the wine breathe an hour or so and the tannins relaxed their grip somewhat. A very pleasant wine; may be better with food but I enjoyed it on its own as well. Finish is medium length, black currant and leather. I very much enjoyed the scent and flavour of black currant in this wine. For reference this wine is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon with 40% merlot.

Deep ruby colour. Aromas of stewed cherries, prunes, mint, and a hint of green stem and wood smoke. The medium tannins are still quite young. The mouthfeel is fairly light and the fruits are quite juicy, with a finish of sour cherries. Give this wine a few more years to mellow and round out. Score 87. (S.Segard, reviewed Feb. 24, 2017)

Intense coloured wine. Complex nose of cherry, blackberry and earthy notes. Spicy, smokey taste, well balanced with nice finish. Few years cellared would add much to this lovely wine.
