Quail's Gate Stewart Family Pinot Noir 2006, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada: This pinot is from the estate vineyards on the slopes of Mt. Boucherie. This grape thrives in the rocky volcanic soils. After going through extended maceration where it stayed in contact with its skins for about 20 days, the wine is barrel-aged entirely in French oak for 11 months. A pinot with gorgeous notes of black cherries and earth. A smooth, medium-bodied wine with a silky texture. 585760 13% D $24.99 Score: 90/100. April 22, 2008 Full Review
