Nice nose of honey and poached pears with mineral notes. Good acidity that calms down the residual sugar. This wine would be great with thai food, but also with a cheese plate and foie gras torchon. Very pleasant and a good quality price.
Joseph Cattin Pinot Gris 2012, Alsace A.C., France: Peach and wet stone aromas mingle on the nose in a hedonistic blend. Refreshing zesty acidity on the palate as an aperitif or with cold chicken sandwiches. The Cattin family has been making wine in Alsace since the 1850s. The lovely white wine finishes with green apple and baking spices. Perfect for Indian dishes, especially mild to medium spicy ones. Drink: 2013-2017. 196956 13% D 750 mL $15.95 Score: 89/100.
