This wine has a deep, beautiful ruby with hints of purple. There is a spiciness to the oak on the aroma, and a deep, slightly overripe dark fruit with some spicy pepper. The tannins are more mellow than expected which makes this wine more easy drinking, and also a great match for grilled meats or grilled portobello mushrooms. Very tasty!
Sur De Los Andes Reserva Malbec 2010, Mendoza, Argentina: Rich and full-bodied with an incredible price point. Layers of fleshy dark fruit cry out coffee grounds cry out for a meaty dish companion. Finishes with blackberry and black plum notes. Terrific! Hidden among the rich black fruit flavour in this powerful wine are fleeting notes of violets to create an intriguing bouquet. Perfect for barbecues and back decks. Drink: 2013-2016. 208322 14.40% XD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 89/100. July 19, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
