very good - at Barb's 2016
Heather Murray reviewed this wine as follows:

Sara D'Amato (WineAlign, Score 90): Perched on the Naramata Bench, this red Bordelaise blend has been deftly crafted by talented winemaker Karen Gillis whose fresh approach has garnered international acclaim. Refreshing but not acidic, weighty but without feeling heavy - this is all due to a keen balance and sensitive winemaking. Food friendly but also very drinkable. Tannins are smooth and the wine has struck a harmonious chord at this stage of its evolution. Very good length. Tasted June 2014.

Winner of Gold Medal at 2013 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada

LCBO Tasting Notes: On the Naramata Bench, winemaker Karen Gillis continues to impress with her fresh clean style that helps to better express B.C.'s terroir in her acclaimed Red Rooster wines. Red Rooster placed 4th in B.C. and 7th in the country with 4,589 points, and a big gold medal for its Red Rooster Winery 2011 Reserve Meritage. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
