Full bodied with a rich and supple texture. Generous flavours of blackberry, blueberry and plum are framed by ripe tannin and well appointed oak. A touch of brown sugar and cool mint adds interest. Try with steak and stout pie. Tasted July 2014.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Syrah 2011, Columbia Valley, Washington State, United States: This Washington Syrah is loaded with mocha, coffee, espresso and dark chocolate from very generous oak aging. Fleshy black plums and berries emerge from underneath on the palate. Smooth and full-bodied with a supple texture and pleasing finish. Try with coffee-rubbed steak or grilled pork chops. Drink: 2014-2018. 949651 13.50% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 88/100. June 21, 2014 Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
