Biscuit, apple, pear, palette shows lemon, fresh bread. Lovely fine bubbles, long fresh mineral finish, with marzipan. 60% chenin Blanc 20%chardonnay 21% cabernet Franc. Traditional method. Minimum 18 months on lees with grapes sourced from 5-6 vineyards. Pair with shellfish. Excellent value.
Langlois-Château Brut Crémant De Loire, Loire A.C., France: Fresh and crisp on the nose; toasty and dry on the palate. Terrific mouth-watering acidity meets creamy, rich texture. The finish is dry and refreshing. Terrific, especially for this price! Try with seafood. this lovely bubbly is made from three grapes: Chenin, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc selected form the best terroirs of the Samur region. It is aged for a minimum of 2 years in the truffeau (chalk rock) cellars. Drink: 2014-2016. 996272 12.50% D 750 mL $21.95 Score: 92/100. June 7, 2014 Best Value Sparkling Wine.
