Martha Kelly AIWS
rated this wine as 88/100
with the following review:
Ripe and supple, this full-bodied wine has flavours of dark cherries, blackberry jam, plum, with sweet and pungent spices adding complexity. This wine is harmonious on the lengthy, fruit-driven finish.
Pair with finer cuts of beef, lamb, or sip on its own.
Drink now, or cellar until 2018 to allow it to further soften in texture and gain complexity.
Date tasted: October 2014.
First Press James Ewart Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Napa Valley, California, United States: Delicato Family Vineyards produce this full-bodied with classic aromas of cassis and blackcurrant. Nicely balanced oak. Although it's robust, it's not heavy. Attractive wisps of hickory smoke on the finish along with cassis and blackcurrant. This is a good value for Napa Valley cabernet. Try it with a rare steak. Drink: 2014-2018. 188110 14.50% D 750 mL $22.95 Score: 88/100. November 8, 2014 Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
