I loved this Pinot Noir from Oregon done in a Burgundian style. I think Oregon is producing some of the finest Pinor Noir, and the region is definitely the Willamette Valley. This is elegant and well balanced - Pinot Noir at its finest. Ripe fruits and perfect acidity make for a fine wine that will go with anything you serve for dinner. What a treat.
Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir 2011, Willamette Valley, Oregon, United States: Elegant and subtle with great restraint. Black cherry, dry with some grip. Needs cellar time. This winery benefits from New World energy and Old World expertise from the Drouhin family. It's a gorgeous winery to visit in the Dundee Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley.
