rated this wine as 92/100
with the following review:
Medium ruby in colour, with medium body and soft tannins, this refreshing with has flavours of black currant, black berry, raspberry, baking spices, and savoury earthy complexity, the flavours linger on the fruit-driven finish.
Enjoy today, or cellar until 2017.
Pair with pungent cheeses, finer cuts of beef and lamb, or savour on its own.
Date tasted: April 2014.
Domaine Montirius Terre Des Aînés Gigondas 2007, Rhône A.C., France: Classic black pepper, briary, black fruit and tar on the nose. Full-bodied and delicious. Great value for the price. Needs a hearty steak. Reminds me of why I love Rhone wines so much. Drink: 2014-2020. 116079 12.50% XD 750 mL $24.95 Score: 93/100. March 29, 2014 Top Rated Red Wine.
