If you are a fan of Sauternes, this wine will pleasantly surprise you. For the price, you really cannot go wrong. I was very pleased with how well balanced and delicately sweet this wine is. On the nose, I get a lot of raisin and dried fig with a lingering aroma of Christmas cake and candied ginger. On the palate, I taste the caramelized top of creme brulee with a creamy and supple finish that keeps on giving minutes after. I would pair this wine with creme brulee or a fine Gorgonzola cheese. Chateau Des Arroucats Blended Table White 2012, Sainte Croix Du Mont, Bordeaux A.O.C., France: This lovely dessert wine is a steal at this price, and it's not cloyingly sweet so it'll pair well with fruit flans, biscotti and angel cake. A traditional blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Gorgeous aromas of ripe apricot, peach and pear. Drink: 2012-2017. 332593 13.50% S 750 mL $17.95 Score: 91/100.
