This lovely Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a holiday in a glass! It's a dark garnet red, with enticing aromas of vanilla, earth, kid leather, tart cherries and cranberries, caramel and a suggestion of salty sea air. The palate repeats these and adds a spicey element of rosemary and lavender. Balanced acidity and a very long salted caramel finish make this a wine to savour. I'd definitely buy this again. An excellent choice for those upcoming holiday dinners or anytime at all.
Domaine Moillard Bourgogne Hautes Côtes De Nuits Pinot Noir 2011, Burgundy A.C., France: I love really tart, almost sour, Old World Pinot Noir. It whets the appetite and is great with many dishes, but you have to be prepared for the acidity. This one offers attractive aromas of tart cherries, cranberries and some herbal notes. Try it with roast chicken. Drink: 2014-2018. 356899 13% XD 750 mL $22.95 Score: 88/100. March 1, 2014 Voluptuous Veal Wine Full Review
