Looking for and alternative to Pinot Gris? This rich, mid weight wine made from Altesse offers flavours of pear, pink grapefruit, ripe golden apple, and clove. An excellent value. Pair with roast chicken. Enjoy through 2015. Tasted April 2014.
Maison Adrien Vacher Les Adrets De Savoie Altesse Roussette 2012, Savoie A.C., France: Interesting and different, with a dry orange, almost rust flavour in a musky vein. Dry and medium-bodied with notes of dry peach and apricot. Try it with light and medium curries or spices. Drink: 2013-2016. 365163 12.50% D 750 mL $16.95 Score: 87/100.
