Julia Kelada rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This is a new release in the Cellier at my local liquor commission and not many people knew how to rate it. Well if you like my style of wines, then welcome to the "Power House!" this wine is not for the faint of heart! Most people say that it has an alcohol taste and I think they're trying to say its intense and over powers your mouth. I'm going to say, I understand what they're saying but this is a wine you need to decant for about 2 hours, you need to take your time with it, it's great with intense power house cheeses, it's great with spicey foods laden with ginger and awesome with a decadent chocolate pudding. So I would say not to be intimidated by it, I'm even going back to buy more!

The colour is a rich dark, clings to your glass wine!

On the nose there are blackberries, cassis and cooked plums. Chocolate, tea leaves and licorice.

On the palate...well don't blink, the fruits are very short lived, but they are still non the less present and delicious. Cooked plums and casis which open up almost immeadiately into an opulent mouthful of mocha, dark rich chocolate with a delicate hint of black pepper which slightly gives way to a leathery and mineral note. This intense wine ends with surprisingly velvety tannins. I give this wine a 94 , delicious!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
