Lesley Quinn Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Amarone is definitely one of those wines that gets better with age, and the wines from the Monte Olmi vineyard epitomize that rule. At 23 years of aging this powerhouse wine is in the prime of it's life. The aromas remind me of a forest in Autumn. Earthy, and rich with an undertone of raisins, and dried leaves. The wine takes over your mouth but leaves you with a clean steely finish. Fantastic to savour on its own or with a plate of aged cheeses.
