Deborah Podurgiel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep, Dark and Delicious. Puglia is the heel of Italy, and this wine shows the structure, strength and balance a good heel can give. The Negroamaro grape gives a very deep ruby wine, rustic and earthy, with aromas of blackberry, black currant, black cherry and plum on the nose. On the palate, more of same with good acidity to fruit balance, gritty tannins and a liquorice, white pepper and bittersweet-chocolate, medium-long finish. Two things about this wine -- it needs to decanted at least one hour prior to drinking to show its best fruit flavours, otherwise the wine will seem imbalanced. The second thing is this wine WANTS winter fare, chilli, bison burgers, lamb stew and Tourtiere. Cheers!
