Offering a bouquet of black currant, mint and oak spice followed by a palate of blackberry, plum and graphite. Well structure tannins and generous oak frame the ripe fruit core. Splash decant to release the genie. Pair with roast beef or game. Tasted March 2014.
Freemark Abbey Merlot 2010, Napa Valley, California, United States: Fleshy yet subtle, full-bodied yet balanced. Loaded with ripe black plums. Lots of layers of pleasure. This wine is made mostly from Merlot Grapes with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Long, satisfying pleasant finish. Decant for an hour for maximum pleasure. Drink: 2013-2016. 1602 14.40% XD 750 mL $29.95 Score: 91/100. February 1, 2014 Terrific Turkey Wine Full Review
