Martha Kelly AIWS, CS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple in colour, this Syrah has a ripe tannin structure and refreshing acidity balanced with ample dark fruit flavours of black berry, cassis, sloe plums, garrigue, vanilla, lavender, coffee, and cloves.
The length is long on the elegant, complex finish.
Enjoy today, or cellar until 2017.
Pair with beef or lamb, or savour on its own.
Date tasted: February 2014.
Heather Wall Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the steep vineyards of the Northern Rhone comes this beautiful Syrah from the Northern Rhone. Clear medium ruby with medium intensity aromas. No mistaking the ripe dark fruit. Blackberry, black cherry, plum, violets, black earth, vanilla, nutmeg, black pepper and a sweet candied redness.
Still developing with medium fine grained tannins and medium+ acidity. The palate embraces the black fruit and lends some red raspberry and toastiness.
A creamy and long finish. There is aging potential here. At $24.95 cellar a few more years and it will reward.
Dry. Pair with red meats, artisan pizza, game
