Youthful fruit-heavy aromas of black plum, blueberry, black cherry and some bramble.

On the palate, smooth medium tannins and acid, with flavours of black plum jam, black cheery, mocha, baking spices.

A decent Merlot that will please most.

There have been some promotions recently on McManis wines so I have had the opportunity to try a few and the Merlot was one of them. I love a good plump juicy Merlot and this one didn't disappoint. Rich plum and cherry flavors, spicy and a hint of vanilla from the oak. I really enjoyed this wine, and found it to be great value.

I had this merlot from the McManis Family Vineyards at the Grange restaurant in old Montreal. It had pleasant scents of strawberry and cherry and a light taste of caramel. Paired it with tartare, cold cuts, cheeses and mini burgers. Another great wine from California.
