rated this wine as 90/100
with the following review:
Deep purple in colour, this full-bodied wine has ripe tannic structure and refreshes with complex notes of cassis, black berry, chocolate, cedar, vanilla, hazelnut, savoury layers of aged beef, wet leaves, cigar box, and toast. The flavours linger on the warming, elegant finish.
Enjoy now or cellar until 2018.
Pair with braised red meats or savour on its own.
Date tasted: February 2014.
Ben Glaetzer Bishop Shiraz 2012, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Smoke and black fruit on the nose with more charcoal, heart-warming warmth on the palate. Full-bodied, supple and smooth.
