Morgon is considered the most 'masculine' of the Grand Cras. This Beaujloais supports that theory. Pale ruby, medium body and youthful. Delicious red cherry, strawberry, black pepper, cinnamon, violets, vanilla and cedar. A feast for the nose. The palate delivers a little tartness with cranberry. Black earth is also evident. Medium grippy, tannins . The finish is long and warm. Made to be enjoyed now. Excellent value at $17.95

Laurent Gauthier Morgon Vieilles Vignes Grand Cras Gamay (Beaujolais) 2011, A.C., Beaujolais, France: A happy, bright medium-bodied red wine. Fleshy ripe cherries and some strawberry-floral notes - wonderful splashing fun. Try it with roast chicken or turkey. Lovely dry finish. Incredibly great price.
