Priya: I bet this would be awesome with olives because that's exactly what it smells and tastes like. Salty and briny, too strange for me I think....I'd prefer a bit more fruitiness and ripeness. 82pts.
Alex: A bit more fruitiness? Priya my lady, this is as fruity as she comes! Way too much so for me...sure there is an olivine brininess, with some pepper, baked plum and blackberry pie, but finished with a whack of american oak! You can taste the old vine concentration no problem, but the problem is that there's nothing else there that's real. Over-polished, fair concentration in the mid-palate (but not enough for $60), far too much dominating alcohol, and very low acidity. It's full-bodied and velvety in the mouth, but lacks freshness, complexity and finishes short of the mark at this price. Made for the winemaker's daughter, but clearly not for me. 75 pts
Two Hands Wines Bella's Garden Shiraz 2011, Barossa Valley, South Australia, Australia: Some mint and gorgeous fleshy black plum aromas on the nose. Full-bodied and towering in its depth and concentration, with a liquid velvet texture. Oh yum. More Michael Buble than Frank Sinatra, yet this wine is bound to be a classic too with its personable vitality and unique signature. Pair with new renditions of swing classics. Drink: 2012-2016. 636407 15.80% D 750 mL $59.95 Score: 94/100. November 9, 2013 Gorgeous Gift Wine Full Review
