Perfumed red fruit aromas, cherry, black earth and subtle oak spice on the palate. Refreshing acidity and medium fine tannin. Over performing for its appellation. Pair with beef carpaccio or a portobello mushroom burger. Drink through 2015. Tasted Dec 2013.
Bouchard Pere & Fils Pinot Noir 2011, A.C., Côte De Beaune-Villages, Burgundy, France: Pleasing aromas of tart cherry, fresh-turned earth and a little herbal/vegetal. Medium-bodied and silky with a long, dry finish. Some cedar smoke and spice on a refreshing finish. Perfect for dinner parties. Drink: 2013-2017. 714998 13.40% XD 750 mL $24.95 Score: 88/100.
