Nov 13, 2013: Deep ruby with purple tint with a nose of berry, cherry, plum, smoke, spice, earthy, meaty notes along with dried herbs. On the palate there is raspberry, dark cherry, baking spice and a mineral/graphite/iodine note carried by good acidity and fine tannins that lead to a medium finish that warms the throat at 14.5% and turns a little bitter and stemmy. Finish could use a little polish but still a nice wine that should continue to drink well for another five years. 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% Mouvedre.
