This full bodied, fruity Pinot Noir comes from the vineyards planted on one of the highest sites in California’s Monterey County. Cooled by the fresh coastal air and warmed by consistent sunshine, the area is ideal for pinot growing.
Rich, dark and concentrated, it’s bursting with black cherry and ripe plum flavours with a touch of earth and spice. Tannins are soft, ripe and well integrated. Finish long and smooth. My favourite pairing; wild mushroom & black truffle risotto. Delicious!!
Ready to drink now, could age for the next 6-8 years.
Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011, Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, California, United States: This is New World pinot in all its juicy glory. I love this wine year after year! Sweet cherry pie and raspberry jam on the nose and palate (technically it's a dry wine but the flavours are lusciously fruity sweet). Lots of layers of pleasure and hedonism. Drink: 2013-2018. 212076 14.50% XD 750 mL $44.95 Score: 94/100. November 23, 2013 Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
