A full bodied charmer, with notes of fig, baked cherry, nutmeg and clove. Mid weight tannins are well integrated, providing structure without overbearing. Excellent alongside braised lamb shank. Enjoy through 2019. Tasted March 2014.
Domaine La Roquète Frédéric & Daniel Brunier 2010, A.C., Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, Rhône, France: A robust red with mature dark fruit aromas. Pepper sprinkled on top of deep fleshy black fruit. Full-bodied but pleasantly so and seductively slippery smooth. Quite a spectacular dinner party wine, party if the conversation hasn’t got rolling yet. Drink: 2013-2018. 70862 14.50% XD 750 mL $49.95 Score: 92/100. November 23, 2013 Best Beef Wine Full Review
