Matt Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A terrific example of premium value-priced, low production (453 cases) Merlot from the wonderful Niagara Escarpment. Immediately upon opening I was impressed with the intensity of the complex aromas. Field berries, plum, cherry, graphite, and wood smoke. Round and balanced with refreshing acidity, this wine has been loved all the way from the vineyard to the bottle. Hand picked, hand sorted, cold soaked, then a 2.5 week fermentation before ageing for 13-14 months in new and seasoned premium French oak barrels. This is a great example of why the Niagara Escarpment is quickly becoming one of my favourite wine producing regions in Canada. A very versatile wine, that would pair well with BBQ meats including burgers, steaks, lamb, or pork. Available via Vintages or winery direct. For $22 I'd recommend buying by the half case.
Tasted November 2013. 90+ points. Matt Steeves, Certified Sommelier, @QuercusVino
Darlene Myers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

It very evident this Merlot spent time in wood, as the toasty vanilla aromas and flavors. They also join cherry and blueberry flavors with herbal notes. I really enjoyed this wine, and look forward to having it again.
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Rosewood Merlot, aged in new and seasoned French Oak for 14 months, has intense aromas of vanilla, cedar, pine and red currant on the nose and cranberry, pomegranate, red currant and vanilla on the palate. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins (NEEDS to decant for 1+ hours) and a medium to long, vanilla dominated finish. It is food friendly; drink 2014/15-2018. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted Nov/18.
