The 2007 Valle Las Acequias Oak Malbec, aged in French Oak barrels for 10 months, has intense aromas of prune on the nose and strawberry and raspberry on the palate. It is a full bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with good acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30+ min) and a long and smooth finish. It is food friendly or can be enjoyed on its own; drink now to 2020 and beyond. My impression: NICE, 89-90 pts. Tasted Jan/14.

Valle Las Acequias Luis Segundo Correas Malbec Oak 2007, Mendoza, Argentina: A terrific full-bodied red wine for the money! Robust, generous aromas and flavours of blackberries and black plums. There's toasty oak and dark chocolate on the finish with some blackberry preserves. Vanilla spice gives it a kick. Try it with a pepper steak. Drink: 2012-2015. 138412 14% XD 750 mL $15.95 Score: 90/100. January 4, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Luscious Lamb Wine Full Review
