The 2010 Quinta Do Valdoeiro Bairrada has intense aromas of stems, yeasty black sour cherry and cedar on the nose and cranberry and pomegranate on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, dusty tannins (decant for 30 min) and a medium to long finish. Drink with food; drink now and for the next two years – cork is tapered towards the top and proned to leakage. My impression: quite NICE, 89 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Tasted Nov/13.

Quinta Do Valdoeiro 2009, D.O.C., Bairrada, Portugal: A lovely full-bodied, balanced red for this price! Smooth with rich aromas and flavours of dark plums and smoky oak, but not too much. Amazing value. Great party wine or try it with hearty meat dishes. Drink: 2013-2015. 320036 14% XD 750 mL $12.95 Score: 88/100. October 17, 2013 Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
