Loved this wine! Full-bodied and toasty. Currently basking in the golden glow of a GOLD medal from the Decanter Magazine Wine Awards. Lots of lucious Niagara tree fruit, honey, toast, earthy notes. Nothing ABC about this chardonnay.
Long length on the creamy fruit driven finish.
Paired well with smoked oysters and smoked octopus.
Drinking nicely now but definitely has some ageing potential.

Flat Rock Cellars The Rusty Shed Chardonnay 2011, V.Q.A., Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: Great complexity in this full-bodied chardonnay. The grapes come from older vineyards. More earthy than fruity. This wine spent 20 months in new oak. Drink: 2013-2016. 1552 13.50% D 750 mL $24.95 Score: 90/100. September 13, 2013 Full Review
