Heather Wall rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Silver Medal Millesime Challenge 2013 80% Merlot 20% Cab Franc. Medium++ body with lush fruit. Rich ruby colour and a hefty 14% alcohol. Grapes are grown sans chemicals, pesticides or herbicides.
Dark cherry, plum, herbs, oak and wet cedar. Palate hands out mild tannins and some heat. Not an overly long finish. Good value for Bordeaux enthusiasts at $16.95. Drink now. Decant 1 hour or more.
Bottle label suggests drink with Mediterranean dishes, game, red meat, cheeses. I'm going with medium-rare grilled steak and potats au gratin.

Natalie's Review

Château Brandeau Meritage 2010, A.C., Côtes De Bordeaux - Castillon, Bordeaux, France: Cedary and tart with black fruit and lots of oak. Short finish but an incredible price for everyday Bordeaux. The 2010 vintage was a strong one for Bordeaux, such that even the modestly priced wines like this one showed well. This full-bodied cabernet blend produced by A. Gray et A.F. King, Prop.-vitic. is cedary and tart with black fruit and lots of oak and a huge tannic grip on the palate. The grapes for this wine are grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. Decant 2 hours and pair with a juicy steak. Drink: 2013-2015. 351973 14% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 88/100. September 13, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
