This wine has characteristic Chenin Blanc aromas of wet wool and ripe fruit. Toasted oak is also apparent on the nose. But the flavours are fruit forward: green apple, melon, and peach. The wine has a mouthwatering acidity that refreshes the palate. It paired well with a spicy calamari dish.
Vinum Africa The Winery Of Good Hope Chenin Blanc 2011, W.O., Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa: Seductive with fleshy peach and toasty oak on the nose. Full-bodied with lots of mouth-watering acidity for food. Great! Almost as superb as the 2010 vintage of this wine. Drink: 2013-2016. 739995 13.50% XD 750 mL $15.95 Score: 90/100.
