Martha Kelly AIWS, CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in colour, this Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot blend from a ripe vintage has well-integrated tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and typical flavours of black currant, black berry, black cherry, walnut, brown sugar, black pepper, black earth, cloves, and savoury leather. The elegant, complex finish lasts on the palate.
Drink now, or cellar until 2018 to soften tannins and increase complexity.
Enjoy with finer cuts of beef or lamb.
Date tasted: March 2014.
Heather Wall CS; WSET Certified rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine made Decanter Magazine's Best Value Bordeaux list of 2012. From the heralded 2009 Bordeaux Vintage. Clear deep ruby. The nose is delightful. Nice mix of dark fruit(black cherry, black raspberry, plum) with baked strawberry, violets, vanilla, cloves, cigar box, graphite, leather, tobacco leaf, coffee.
Dry with med+ acidity, body and alcohol. Flavours are pronounced repeating the dark fruit supported by cranberry, strawberry jam, walnut, black pepper, prune. Long length on the elegant, creamy finish. Drink now with potential to age 10+ years. Tannins are integrated but benefit from decanting. A very nice Grand Cru Classe Medoc.
Screams for red meat.
