Deep ruby red colour, the nose displays lush dark fruit, plum, fig, and smoke. Well worth the money, and this wine will only continue to get more interesting over the next 5-10 years. Tasted January 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Pinyolet Selección 2010, D.O., Montsant, Spain: A robust, dark fruited Spanish red wine with toasty oak and a firm tannic grip. This full-bodied red wine is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carinena grapes, from vines planted in 1945 and 1928, respectively. The wine was matured for 8 months in 2-year-old French oak barrels.
