This Pinot Noir is reminiscent of Thomas Bachelder's Le Clos Jordanne days. Elegant and smooth in style. Dried red fruit, raisin, prune, vanilla, earthy and stony. Mild tannins and medium+ body. This one is going on my shopping list. Exquisite! Thanksgiving wine.
Thomas Bachelder Lowrey Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011, V.Q.A., St. David's Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: A medium-bodied red with a seductive, silky texture and a Burgundian style that still bears the Niagara signature. Winemaker and owner Thomas Bachelder has proven himself to be the master of pinot noir in this country, starting with his first works of art at Le Clos Jordanne.
