Julia Kelada rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

I feel a little embarrassed even thinking i can make a review on this wine. This wine is a classic! Its going to be around for many decades to come with its class and distinction, I almost feel like it's looking down it's nose at me! And rightly so too!
I decanted the wine for 2 hours before i took my first sip, very challenging for me….Now, i am no wine professional , but i didn't really agree with the review by the official description, they said animal and woody…well i think we were drinking the same wine….upon my first mouthful i tasted chocolate and cherries….infact lots of rich dark fruits. This is the wine that you light an autumnal fire and enjoy what i call the epitomy of refined red wine.
Definitely this is a dry full bodied wine…but those are the ones i love, and so i was extremely happy when i opened a delicious La Plien Lune Brie cheese to accompany it on an autumnal Sunday afternoon…a marriage made in heaven!
This wine is definitely spicy, floral and fruity with a perfectly balanced firm woody tannin and long finish.
A wine that could accompany any meal with grace and presence!
Bottoms Up!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
